Tropical storm Chantu is expected to develop into a category 1 typhoon

as it moves towards the South China coastline in the next 24 hours.

The storm is moving away from its original path towards Hong Kong
and the Pearl River Delta area, and is now expected to make landfall
in the area of Qionghai, Haikou and Zhanjiang.

The storm is predicted to hit China in a fairly remote area that will
not affect too many clients.    However, it is currently passing through
the South China Sea, and will cause delays to some vessels as they
leave the Far East bound for Europe.

We will report to clients on a case by case basis as and when we
know of any delays.
